Panic attack

Postby Rachse11 » Sat Apr 16, 2016 9:41 pm

[/b][/b]I had another Panic attack, this time was in public unfortunately.

i was at a club, i kept feeling lightheaded, dizzy, had shortness of breath, which progressed to tingling lips, finger tips, legs, i was tensed up and shaking uncontrollably, then my vison turned fuzzy/staticy slowly turning black. Thats when i bagan to feel numb, and very lightheaded, my lips were uncontrollably shaking, i could not catch my breath for the life of me, i thought i was going to die because it was soo, so, soo hard to even inhale a little amount of oxygen, and just for that i had to inhale so heavy, and deep because my throat and chest weren't expanded like they should be.

i guess passed out because i don't remember anything after that except for when i awoken in a ambulance with a huge tube getting shoved down my already broken nose, and begged them to take it out.

I stayed at the hospital overnight while they observed, and stuck me with needles. They said i was okay, everything is normal and they suggested i went to a doc to talk, and diagnose my problem.

I've had so many panic attacks like the one above, but im usually at home when it happens.

could anyone advise me with their opinion of what type of anxiety i have?

I would suggest first going to see a doctor.

I've heard chamomile is supposed to be beneficial, same with (raw) cacao.

My last major panic attack I was driving and had to pull over. I hyperventilated for two hours. Police came and called paramedics, who taught me to just slowly breath IN THROUGH YOUR MOUTH and OUT THROUGH YOUR NOSE. And you have to do it slowly and calmly, even if you feel like you're not getting enough oxygen, just do that slowly and calmly and tell yourself that you're okay.

You will not die. You may pass out if you keep hyperventilating, but even then your breathing will naturally return to normal. You just have to stop hyperventilating and calm yourself down.

The paramedics also taught me that if you rub/massage the bottoms of your ears, it releases dopamine that helps calm your brain down. These two tips have helped me immensely.

Having someone to talk to you calmly to get your mind off of your attack also helps.

Best regards...
