Yes, I have done and it works quite effectively. It's not a magic wand and it's not going to make them see black as white, but it's a surprsingly effective tool.

It has nothing to do with mimicing a person or their style. It's very subtly mirroring their gestures, small movements and tone of voice.

And, for the reasons you indicated earlier, needs to be done with caution.

That's what I was thinking last night when I read this. Who would want to mirror that behavior? She must be much different in real life.

To the question. I have noticed people mirroring me, I don't know if everyone I come in contact with really suck at mirroring, or I just notice it because I'm more aware of it than a lot of people.

I only mirror people sometimes... usually intentionally, but sometimes I catch myself doing it for no real reason... not often though.

.... and no, people mirroring me doesn't bother me at all.

k, anyone with good social skills knows that copying the mannerisms of whoever you're speaking with facilitates smooth social interaction and rapport building..........
