New here, found this forum post while reading about this crime.

The video is real, the victim has been ID'ed. The video wasn't online on 5/16, I think the killer posted here (and probably elsewhere as well) on the 16th to drum up interest in the crime he was planning to commit. He is known for promoting himself online, and I think he was promoting the video before he made it. Just a theory, but it makes sense to me.

That's a good possibility that some sort of pre-promotion on the web was happening.

To perfectly honest, I've not really believed that it is real video, it just seems fake, so who knows, perhaps the video itself was crafted in a fashion to make it appear fake.
