I didn't really 'get' what you meant when you made this point at the time. Now, I get it.

Well, I originally had cast the empath in the role of the "tree," because I was trying to imagine caring for another living thing without a personal, emotional connection or a strong sense of kinship. Then I realized I might have more explanatory power if I reversed the roles.

If they can and will help you later on, or you just want to see what they will do. Like when you tell someone that another person has been talking about them behind their back and you can just see their attitude change in that instant, or you just show a person a game so they will get addicted to it and help you in a part you know you won't be able to beat by yourself.
Philosophy is stupid.

yes , but i lose my temper easily and lost her because im a terrible person , told her too much info, and had a drug problem....she was unique and hurt , i had this great need to protect her and i in my mind i never wanted this poor girl to feel hurt again....yet i was hurting her all along, being jealous, venting , laughing at her problems.

Actually do right now. I guess you could call it an adoration or obsession. But we're currently in a happy relationship with her being aware of my AsPD.
