Oh, now I see. Hadn't noticed your other posts until just now. With the timing of this one...

In response to the newbie or trolling comments. It's my first time on this site. I'm looking for answers in an anonymous manner. Hopefully, you like minded individuals can assist me in this quest. I'd like to become a regular - it felt really great to express these thoughts and issues within myself that I cannot fully show in real life, face to face as it were. The last thing I need is my job or career being jeopardized due to seeking evidence or a self Dx

following our responses/discussion of Mike-o's posts I assumed you were him. After going back to previous posts made by you it is obvious now.
If you don't have a pretty picture it is unlikely I will ever read or even remember your username unless you post something I find odd or amusing. Something along those lines.. Keep in mind, it can take a little while for information to process in this one. Especially at night.
Good place for self discovery.

And all this time I had no idea what the word was for that; I just called them 'certain urges', and left it at that.

Huh, going to make a note of this term. Sounds much better than "urges this" and "urges that" all of the time.

Mike-o wrote:What is it that makes you an Antisocial?

I feel out of place with the people socially. I usually only interacted with them because of school, and college. But after I dropped out, I felt no desire to do anything. I've never had goals in my life to follow, or aspirations(mainly because I never learned the meaning of what a goal was, or that such a thing existed until my teacher asked me in 11th what my goal was. That just stunned me into silence). I just went to school, and grew up.

How long have you been Antisocial for?

Since middle school, when I noticed how little I could compare with my peers. I still talked and spent time with some people in school. But as the years passed, I found little and little enjoyment in the same things people my age enjoyed.

And it was harder for me to read body languages or hints. Most of the time I just sat there, if I had no idea what was going on in a conversation.

What do you think made you Antisocial in the first place?

My different views. And I just felt uncomfortable being with people when they talked about topics I didn't understand. I shied away from what I could not understand, because most of the time I just stood there =/
and last but not least,

Which of the personality traits/behavoural characteristics are currently having the most impact on your life?

I don't fully understand what you mean. But I'm going to wing it and say I think it's Anti-social, if that's part of the question.

I just don't go outside anymore because I don't have the will or desire. I've tried by going to college in the past, to find something, but I've received panic attacks whenever there was topics I was unfamiliar with, and I was too shy to ask for help. So that landed me here, just... waiting, until something happens. Or maybe nothing will happen and I'll live in the streets, I'm not sure.

I can see what people mean...

Mike, what do you score on these checklists? You need three on one of the checklists...

Antisocial

- failure to conform to social norms with respect to lawful behaviors as indicated by repeatedly performing acts that are grounds for arrest
- deception, as indicated by repeatedly lying, use of aliases, or conning others for personal profit or pleasure
- impulsiveness or failure to plan ahead
- irritability and aggressiveness, as indicated by repeated physical fights or assaults;
reckless disregard for safety of self or others
- consistent irresponsibility, as indicated by repeated failure to sustain consistent work behavior or honor financial obligations
- lack of remorse, as indicated by being indifferent to or rationalizing having hurt, mistreated, or stolen from another

Dissocial

- Callous unconcern for the feelings of others and lack of the capacity for empathy
- Gross and persistent attitude of irresponsibility and disregard for social norms, rules, and obligations
- Incapacity to maintain enduring relationships
- Very low tolerance to frustration and a low threshold for discharge of aggression, including violence
- Incapacity to experience guilt and to profit from experience, particularly punishment
- Markedly prone to blame others or to offer plausible rationalizations for the behavior bringing the subject into conflict
- Persistent irritability

I have for anti-social:

- impulsiveness or failure to plan ahead

- consistent irresponsibility, as indicated by repeated failure to sustain consistent work behavior or honor financial obligations

For Dissocial:

- Incapacity to maintain enduring relationships

- Incapacity to experience guilt and to profit from experience, particularly punishment <--- I think I have this

I'm sorry I didn't answer sooner. I've been hesitant to return when I heard of trolls here. I don't feel I'm emotionally adapt to deal with them on here. I've expressed too much on this site that I feel vulnerable....

Trolls? Where?

You picked one hell of a forum then, my dear friend. No need to feel as you do. Being One's new favorite has put you in a good place, I'm sure.
All kidding aside, you might want thicker skin if you are going to continue posting in this particular forum. You are a drop of blood in ocean waters. Find a shell and wear it well.

Please continue posting. It may prove benefical to yourself and others here. For instance, you helped me to discover just how easily I can be triggered. See? You helped me already. How can we help you?

Though I am quite attractive in person (not being egotistical at all *wink*) I don't think I'll be putting one up unless you guys are on Facebook ;-)
You feel on edge, the hairs on your neck stand up on end and you feel the chill start from the bottom of your spine shutter up slowly. I'm your neighbour, friend, coworker, lover, child, parent, boss. I am no one. I am nothing but that feeling of suspicion or unease. And there are many out there exactly like me.

"adorable" does not suite a manly man such as myself.
