AsPDs and Psychopaths raising Children

I don't see how you can care about your children if you don't have a conscience. That's illogical.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't a lack of feeling and empathy what characterizes ASPD?

thats correct, but having a lack of feelings does not mean i dont feel anything at all. I might not care for someone in the same way as someone would who does not have aspd but i still can feel things

Lack of empathy, yes. Some AsPDs seem to be able to feel varying degrees of other emotions. AsPD is a set of behaviors. Perhaps you're thinking of Psychopathy.

Since when does a conscience have anything to do about caring about something? Define care anyway?

I care about my vehicle... I don't want it getting ruined. I care about keeping my house clean. I care about my health. I care about my kids.

I may not care about these things in the way normal people do. When I use the word care, I use it how I understand it... it's relative. I may not feel or know care, the way you or other normal people know the word care. My care is not motivated by love.

I don't know, I can't relate. As soon as I found out my ex-wife was pregnant, I ditched her and ran for the hills. I wanted nothing to do with a kid. They're loud, annoying and obnoxious.

Ironic So your kid is double the dose, since he'd contain your level of obnoxiousness etc... On top of that of normal children.

Most certainly. I won't deny that I can be very arrogant and obnoxious at times, but underneath, I really am a good person that wants the best for everyone...
