*murderous rages when im mad= What helps is to think about what id do... And then just punch the mattress a couple times... or you know punch the wall, anc scream into a pillow.

If im simply inspired, i just think again, grimace and get high.

It definitely is triggered by something. Have you found the root of the impulses. If I get urges like those they don't seem to last long. Do yours?

For me, it's annoyance, today, I was refraining the urge to rip someone's vocal chords for talking... I kicked a hole in the wall once when I didn't find my keys...

Causing material damage helps alot though
Noticed how cruel my online name is?
No english person knows how to pronounce it
Other people try to say it in english
And suddenly, mod preview

control? take it out at the gym, doing physical work etc. burn something its "ok" to burn(not a building or a person lol) destroy something is "ok" to destroy. basically direct it at stuff. dont over do it and exhaust yourself, depending on how you deal with the anger that might only set up a cycle of repeats.

That's a really good point.
my anger problems are triggered by feeling like people or society is trying to control me. (controlling parent :roll:) lol

it doesn't go away until it gets resolved, or i turn it in on myself, but there's an element of that even when stuff does get resolved cause the anger is always there somewhere.

in some cases resolving the triggers seems to be helped by learning to deal with situations differently, but in others resolving those triggers has to mean completely irrational actions, which says underlying beliefs somewhere have to be irrational ? i can see the reactions are irrational, but not the underlying beliefs/perspective, but that might be because im nuts. lol

i wonder if you resolve the disordered thinking behind the triggers you'd be able to let go of the anger and only feel that angry when it really is ?appropriate? for a situation? because anger is a reaction to threat of some sort, there must be other emotions linked to that threat that are the key to resolving it.
