Don't get on your soap box about it.

Yes, I bitch about quite a few things, but only those that actually bother me. However, generally you don't; normally you're quite a "go with the flow and let's see the other side of this" guy, so when you express an opinion so strongly about a group of people who don't really cause you any particular problems, it makes me wonder why.

I'd not heard of that either.

I scanned your posts in that thread and I get what you're saying about guilt and shame etc. However, before you can make a statement on the rightness of accepting shame for something you need to have a fundamental understanding about what sexual attraction is based on. This comment I plucked out of your first comment on that thread:

Being bi-sexual is just being greedy.

Was this intended as a joke, or do you genuinely think that people choose their sexual orientation for selfish reasons?

What I was doing was pointing out that people do things for various reasons and placing blame on genetics only is folly.

It was a pretty good joke tho.

So JOMPs got the politically righteous high road view, and Mr.No One has the classical religious view.

If one's sexual orientation is based purely on their sexual experiences with a particular gender (as it should be, in my opinion), then yes. You chose to be gay.

It's possible. Apparently being AsPD is too kewl for skool.

Nah, I've tried to have relationships with guys and it's just not that great. Not that I got absolutely repulsed but there's no way I'd eventually warm up to it, I'm just not wired that way.
