Rules of Attraction for a Psychopath

Postby henrietta » Fri Jan 07, 2011 8:37 pm

Attraction, pure sexual attraction. What sexually attracts the psychopath (male or female)? Is it primal, is it intellectual? And gender preference; even though a psychopath can easily not care about gender I think the end up in heterosexual relationships? Is that because of personal preference, because its easier, or because its primal.

I personally think the psychopath is primal for sexual attraction. I am not talking about picked victims, I'm talking about seeing someone across the room and feeling sexual attraction. I think more often than not psychopaths are attracted to attractive, opposite gender people. Much like an animal.

This subject is interesting to me because I am attracted strangely towards certain things. I mean I maybe
attracted to someone or grow curious about someone purely because they stand out in a peculiar way. I mean
if I meet someone who is completely naive it baffles me so it attracts me. I do experiments on them to see how
they would react. I rationalize it in my mind that I am helping them as much as I am learning about the human
race. Or suppose I meet a completely moral and upright person, like a virgin. I find this fascinating. Especially,
if they are like a senior in high school or older. It attracts me to them. It makes me want to preserve them as
if they are a species going extinct. I end up leading them in a certain direction and giving them some skills to
avoid those who would corrupt them. But on the other hand, I am not attracted to virgins in a sexual way. The
idea of a virgin is not what I would consider sexually appealing. As for sexual attraction in general, well I am
very particular and picky. In this regard, you have to really stand out in many different ways for me to take an
interest in you to be able to stand having you around for more than just the occasional "booty-call." In fact,
booty calls are not attractive to me anyways. I want to completely devour my prey in every aspect of their life.
If I was in a relationship though it is much different. I want someone who can stand up to me and tell me the
truth and call me on my "#######4." If they can't handle their own they become slaves and brain-washed to a
certain degree and who wants that for a partner? I don't know it is kind hard to explain and maybe quite boring
to drone on about it. But there I've started it. LOL I think the biggest thing is categorizing people, some are in
the "attractive" file and some are in different files for different things.

Sexual attraction, in itself, is primal. It's a very instinctual thing for everyone, not just psychopaths. People like to think that the reason they're originally attracted to someone is their smile, their sense of humor, or something equally cheesy. It's genetic. Their brains are like, "Hey, I could probably make biologically successful little human larvae with this person!" That's all there is to it.

Homosexual attraction is a little more complicated but only the base instinct is different. Your brain understands that sex with them can't produce offspring but there's still that primal understanding and acknowledgment that they're biologically desirable. Sex is sex is sex. While a psychologically abnormal person might be more open to exploring sexual relations outside of social norms, psychopaths wouldn't be any different than a regular person in the basic drive.

The only difference would be they're less likely to try to write off the attraction as "love at first sight" or something ridiculous like that. lol

I like this! Yes I do think all base sexual attraction (aspd or not) is primal. It's all about the instincts. The person best suitting for making excellent offspring is the one that catches people's eyes.

The Desmond Morris "Naked Ape" documentaries talk a lot about that. He says the same thing, but give examples in nature and with other animals. Reasons for lipstick, blush, large or small breasts (depending on environment), strong, heathy looking mates, hip to waist ratio on women, and broader shoulders on men, etc. Pretty interesting.

Kind of makes you wonder where the wiring got screwed up with the various non-evolutionary paraphilia though.

As far as I understand it, paraphilias usually are the result of influences in childhood that made a huge impact on the individual. Some people think it's that the person skipped parts of intellectual development but I don't personally believe that. Everyone develops differently and at different rates so there is no blanket template for the mind regardless of age.
