You don't get excited over anything, not even briefly?

As for me, I can experience brief excitement over things on the odd occasion, but the problem I find is that it doesn't last long. The feeling is there and it's gone again. I'm guessing that's how it is for you too?

While some people are looking moves ahead, normal people are just enjoying the moment. It's simplistic and does put them at a distinct advantage. But it's not something they regularly consider.

And yet, it's psychopaths who usually end up in prison and 'normal' people who run successful businesses. Psychopaths are very focused on the here and now and tend not to think very far ahead, thus the reason they rarely succeed at anything long-term. 'Normal' people are planning their future and setting up trust funds for their children and grandchildren so that they can get a head start in life.

I'm not seeing why you think they're at a disadvantage.

@Moloko:

Great job on explaining things to OP. That likely won’t mean much to you, but it is nice to garner discussion here without the inevitable gifs. and “side humor.”

I've realised that I'm neither a psychopath or a narcissist.. I'm able to enjoy relating to people and I can empathise (despite finding it to be a burden and being annoyed by it at times), so that part of me is normal, but I'm also able to disregard people's feelings and rights when I'm motivated to do it.. I've done extremely antisocial things to get ahead without feeling any guilt or remorse.. I only feel pity sometimes, but briefly and then it's more or less out of sight, out of mind..

I wonder what a psychiatrist would say about it, and what they would identify as the "issue" and what its label is.. I can't imagine they would tell me it's normal.
you two are on my foe list

I think it is a survival technique to disregard people's feelings.

You can't go through life feeling guilt about what you've done to people.

You'd never get out of bed in the mornings.

Jomp should be in here telling us all his secrets on how to be a successful bullshltopath, I mean, psychopath. After all, he not only has a career which sends him flying to numerous countries all over the world, he can also dodge bullets and survive bomb attacks.

But the real important question is, does he wear a cape and tights...?

I used to, but they're itchy and not really practical for public toilets.
I'm not arguing; I'm explaining why I'm right.
