They exist.

This one is a cynocephaly

That he uses fur as clothing suggests some intelligence, despite the dog head which cannot speak coherently. Last seen in the region of Nepal, but those friends can possibly be found anywhere.

How Jomp sometimes holds reductive/sceptical views regarding the nature of emotional bonds.

To animals...

Apparently not to humans since he's had a wife for years. They seem to have some kind of bond between them with the way he talks about her - both being emotionally invested in their marriage.

Actually Jomp reminds me of a relative. A family man too, with an intense dislike for the family cat, making jokes about the cat's future demise. He enjoys gruesome jokes as well, and while he is probably serious on some level, he seems to enjoy the shock factor about as much.

But he is very serious about his family. I am not sure if it is mutually exclusive though, being distrustful about humanity's motivation, yet very attached to a few - not that I have blind faith in humanity myself.

Of course; they're mine.

In this thread, I've been talking about a particular type of person, as I thought we all were.

Back to the animals...The RSPCA in the UK town of Bury should probably rethink their advertising:

- Would a psychopath have genuine friends and maintain that friendship long-term? Why do you think they would or wouldn't?

- Have you ever been friends with a psychopath? If yes, why do you think that friendship exists, and do you believe it's genuine?

I do not consider people friends, but I will use the term within certain circles since it makes sense to.

I maintain these relationships because they continue providing certain needs. I can get money out of some, among other things. No friendship is genuine. They are all based on give and take, unless that person is a doormat, and often people can be.

If that person, or group of people were offering something, why wouldn't they keep long term relationships? Wasn't John Wayne Gacy a psychopath? He had a wife, kids, and was integrated into his community.

Probably never have met one in person, seeing as how it is 1% of the general population. In general, no one around me strikes me as even having an antisocial personality disorder. In person, most people strike me as bipolar or a narcissist.

All this talk and examination making it look like the friendship had more depth than it did, has made me sick of it and removed the emotion or sense of loss. Thank you.

Briefly speaking, people who don't experience shame can experience a kind of guilt, but more than that, indebtness - which becomes the primary way relationships are experienced.

While you did something to try make the relationship more authentic to you, you may have made it feel less authentic to him. In essence though, you tried to deny your own emotional needs by trying to deny they existed, negating the emotional work that he did for you.

He may have tried to get the smokes out of you as a symbolic gesture, so that i his head the debt was even so he wouldn't tire of you taking emotional advantage of him.

:?

I could offer some insight into this if you'd like.
