i think a lot of it is conditioning though. It can be done but it would take a lot of re-learning. I found this out when I tried to use toe-brakes on a plane. My left foot hammered itself flat to the floor and the plane kept skidding to the left, because my left foot was used to banging the clutch down, whereas my right foot was more sensitive to the accelerator.
It can get better, but it takes a lot of time. If I thought it would genuinely open up more possibilities for me I might be willing to give it more of an effort to try to get my left side working better.
it is mostly muscle memory and physio-compensation, that is, the body will find the easiest way to do it, based on what it can already do
quick draw is a very isolated movement, whereas grave digging, for example, requires full body.
when i started shooting in occulus quest, i have near equal accuracy with both hands because i did not need to compensate for the weeight of the gun, i simply needd a decent trigger fingerr with reasonable aim, which any gamer will have. contrarily, i cannot attack zombies efficiently with a pitchfork if i use my right hand, because i lose reach and accuracy because most of my actions start in a goofy stance
