It can't be just for aesthetic reasons or symmetry otherwise the rest of me would follow suit.

Someone once told me: Manners73, you got two hands, use them.

I found this advice to be sound.

Mainly for balance I believe, sort of like a cats whiskers or tail. Just an unnecessary appendage swinging uselessly to keep you from walking in circles, dazed, confused and never to be seen again. Isn’t evaluation amazing?

I reckon that evolution would have been way better if we'd have kept our tails and th ability to swing from tree to tree and climb plus had the brain capacity to be able to send men to the moon.

I've always been a little bit disappointed with the clumsiness of the human body.

We're quite disabled as a species.

tails provide balance for running at speed more than climbing trees. small monkeys can utilize powrful tails as a 5th appendage because they sacrifice strength and speed and thus cannot leave the branches or else their tail becomes a disadvantage. humans are like chimps and have the strength and agility to live in trees, but also the capacity to hunt prey - unlike four legged predators like cats, who need their tails to out manoeuvre prey over short distance, humans are furless and designed for stamina, and out last prey designed for short sprints, and hunt for hunt human beings are far more efficient and effective hunters than cats, who are apex predators

human bean is super smart, strong, agile, resilient and highly cooperative as a species. our technology makes us soft, but that does not change the hundreds of millions of years of evolution that backs us up as a member of the animal kingdom, of which we are at the apex, ostensibly

It’s our ability to work as a collective and use tools that separates us, if it weren’t for that we would drop several levels in the food chain

we are also omnivores, and can adapt to most types of environment. a cat cannot survive at sea, a shark cannot hunt on land, so the food chain is far more dynamic than species who can only exist within confined areas they've specifically evolved to dominate

Ambi.

Tend to do most things with my right hand though except drawing and I write either way.

My left hand is better at certain things. I think it's slightly stronger.

If I send the writing 'signals' to the opposite hand, I can write clearly in mirror image.

Oh wait. I pick my nose with my left. I mentioned it offhand to a qualified astrologist and they told me that's the definition of ambidextrous. So it's official. I've oft heard those in this select club with me generally test within genius levels on learning disabled tests.

I also use my non dominant hand to pick my nose. But only so I can keep the main hand free to do other more important tasks.. like cupcake my farts in my hand and throw them into the wind while making a wish.
