I mean, Halloween is pretty cool. Too bad I have to work 2nd shift, and it's no fun looking at pumpkins during the day, man. Halloween is about nighttime. Ah well.

It's just a holiday for kids, where all your warnings about taking candy from strangers goes out the window.

And, once their tattered little arse-holes have healed up, the big fat pedo in the red suit will be creeping into their bedrooms while they're asleep with gifts.
I'm not arguing; I'm explaining why I'm right.

The only place I celebrate Halloween (and I use the word 'celebrate' very loosely since I'm not really doing anything different) is on this forum with a bottle of JD.

Kids came around today a few times knocking on my door for candy. I don't buy candy for Halloween, so they got ignored. I personally find the whole tradition annoying. It is interesting to see people dress up for it though. Not that there's much of that here in Australia. Most people don't celebrate Halloween here.

I'm happy just to drink until it's over.

I celebrate Halloween because it's the normal thing to do and it doesn't cause me any grief.. I also genuinely enjoy putting smiles on the faces of little ones when they say "trick or treat!" and I give them candy. I find the whole thing very amusing! :)

I never celebrated as a child, at least not after I became aware of stranger danger.. It wasn't the normal thing to do, so I just told people I didn't like chocolate.. Not liking chocolate is generally a more well understood reason for avoiding trick-or-treating than stranger danger, apparently. :?

"Don't take candy from strangers.. unless it's Halloween and mommy and daddy are there to psychoanalyse the stranger!"
you two are on my foe list

Well, of course you'd think ewww, Oblivion, cuz kids suck.

Kids are cool. I like them. I have them.

Halloween is for little kids to get dressed up all pretty or scary, go around in the dark with scary stuff around them and feel what it's like to be scared but in a protected environment, get candy from good-willed strangers, and just have fun.

For adults to co-opt Halloween seems a bit odd to me. Maybe it's a legit way for adults who want to play dress-up to do so and roam about in a socially acceptable way? Or just another excuse to get together and party?

Halloween is for kids.

Nice to see you back.

What I meant is I get annoyed when people are subservient to a calendar.

Kids are cool. I like them. I have them.

I hope they're rescues. And don't forget to spay or neuter. Most people don't take kindly to other people's children humping their leg.

Went against my own "Halloween is for kids" edict and we dressed up and went out. Out all night.

Of course they're rescues. Just like the dogs. None will be reproducing anytime soon.

Now, to eat more of that candy bonanza...
