Long-Term Goals

Postby Aeva117 » Fri Oct 18, 2019 1:32 am

I think overall, we're a fairly impulsive and/or hedonistic bunch, regardless of individual diagnoses...but do you have any long-term goals? People you want in your life, jobs you'd like to try, places you want to visit, etc?

What would your ideal life look like in the future? Is it possible? If not, what's the more realistic version that you hope to attain?

1. to divide my time between two countries ... 6mths there, 6mths here.
2. to quit my job and somehow manage to pull no.1. off.
3. stay reasonably healthy so I can handle long flights twice a year and not ever have to depend on anyone for help/care in my later years.

That depends on the breed. My dog acts more like a cat, wants affection for a little while then wants to be by himself, prefers to spend most of his time sleeping, doesn't care for other dogs. You just have to pick one that's more independent. Cats are great too though.

I have no long-term goals because I have no fuking idea what I want or where I'm going in life. I'm basically just crossing each bridge as I get to it.

My ideal life in the future would be full of action - seeing new places, meeting new people, where every night is a wild party and every day is a new adventure.

I just finished one goal that took six years altogether and now I've binned it which I was trying to avoid doing again but life. So now my long term goal, seeing as I'm going to have to have more time on my hands is write 7 books. I have to write all of them before sending any to see if they are good enough to be published because if I write one and nobody wants it then I know I won't write the other 6 because I'll see it as pointless. That's about my only long term goal at the moment.
Monte Carlo or Bust
Rose and Patrick
Batcho and Fortune (twins), Paul and Lilly,
No-one and Peter, Beth and Karen, Mandy and Mouse plus a seperate system of fragments including: rabit and others.

I have little, or no significant goals in relation to something external or physical. I just can't see them being things that I could directly control, or that they alone would hold some kind of deeper purpose.
All my goals are related to who I am from the inside. The rest will follow.

Why 7 ?
does that number have significance?

Why does everyone need ambition and life goals nowadays. I'm starting to realize I'm actually fine with a plain life. It's not like I don't have interests but I don't feel like I'm missing something important about my life, some grand desire that needs to be fulfilled before I die. Is that sad or mature, I can't tell.

If the OP was more like, literally longer term than a few weeks, I want to finish school and fit in more this year. Last year I wasn't very approachable. Though I'm already doing that. Idk
