I only asked the toothbrush questions because I've ended up dealing with individuals who practice genital mutilation (which is very concerning as far as I'm concerned) as well as those who use objects that aren't really a good idea to placing where they do (females and males).

I don't know anything about genital mutilation, so if that was your case, I would have wanted to get more of an understanding of underlying drives.
Due to the factor of preserving people's dignity, I can't bring it up as a conversation topic with people I support.

As for the second concern, women who place things that can scratch on a regular basis can actually risk ending up with squamous (precancerous or even cancerous) cells. For some reason it can cause cell mutation.
I worry the rectum could have similar issues.

When you focus on certain populations there's a lot of discomfort as to whether to give out sex toys and "encourage" or allow risk of harm.
This also came up recently, so it was actually a genuine concern.
