If I punch them in the face I wonder what kind of reaction I might get? My hand feels light it almost wants to do it all by itself. Ohh good they are done now.

I have a reputation for walking away when people are talking. It's not conscious, I just stop listening when I lose interest in what they're saying and start thinking of something else. If that something involves action, I go and do it.

One of my old workmates used to joke about it and used to hold my shoulders if he wanted to talk to me, so I wouldn't walk off. In social situations, my wife will nudge my leg when she sees me switching off to whoever's talking to me.

I find it almost impossible to find interest in something not directly interesting to me.

My daughter does this. I come in at night full of adrenaline after my bike ride and I'm full of stories and she doesn't hear a f*cking word I say. Hahahaha...

We joke about it too.

I do a similar thing to this when people are talking to me. I am listening to every word they say because I hate to appear ignorant but all the while they're talking I'm taking in every aspect of their face and based on attractiveness I'm thinking either "I'd love to f*ck you" or "hurry the f*ck up, this conversation is eating into my precious time".

I sometimes get the feeling that people like the way I eye them up and down because I can sense the excitement coming off them when they are talking to me.

I do it sometimes too, used to get me into shlt with the ex all the time. She would ask me to do something she knew I didn’t want to do and I wouldn’t hear a word of it and apparently agreed to whatever it was so she would leave me alone. Then the day comes and I have no idea what she’s talking about. This works good Mrs. jomp if you still read these posts.

She already knows. She gets her own back by watching me go through with it.
I'm not arguing; I'm explaining why I'm right.

I do this too. I've learned to pick up on key words and gestures so they think I'm still in their zone. Eye contact is difficult. It's like staring at a poodle while it's yapping at you. If you look at one of their ears it kind of looks like you're making eye contact. People tend to go blank when they're talking, especially if they're going on about themselves. It's amazing how they don't notice my eyes getting all glazed.

They think I'm listening when I'm really thinking "One of your nose hairs has escaped.." or "I wonder what that green thing is between your teeth?"
