^I think in the case of DID they aren't so much voices as they are separate entities, whereas in this case, the voices (which aren't actually voices but are more like presence of thought) all spring from a single personality.
I seem to recognize all the "voices" in my head as an extension of myself, existing in various levels of consciousness, and I believe they all work in tandem.

I've always found it interesting how the conscious mind interacts with the unconscious; how the primitive stimulus-react process "communicates" with the conscious mind using base emotions. It never occurred to me that there could be other 'parts' that may serve similar functions.
Worth some more thought.
I'm not arguing; I'm explaining why I'm right.

It really is incredible. The mind shutting higher functioning areas of the brain in favor of primitive survival instincts, automatically pumping extra blood to the muscles to prepare the body to have the best chance of survival. I wonder how long it will take before we lose these instincts
