It's her defense mechanism.

That's on topic, right?

The questionnaire is long; what sort of insight is it supposed to provide?
I'm not crazy. My reality is just different from yours.

"Everyone, including mentally mature and healthy people, use a variety of defense mechanisms throughout their lives. The current understanding is people are supposed to have psychological means to maintain a sufficiently positive perception of themselves and to support their well-being.

Some of the mechanisms used to hedge the mind serves its purpose and promote adaptation to the surrounding conditions. They produce a sense of control without causing undesirable consequences. But defense mechanism is harmful if it distorts reality, or impair mental health."

Translated.

I got 8x mature factor, 0x neurotic factor and 7x immature factor.

Could you explain to me how and why it might be a defense mechanism?

I can kinda see how it might be in some situations, but I'd like your explanation because I'm not really sure.

I found it interesting because it gave a little bit of insight into myself and seeing other people's answer tells me something about the way they think and view things, and how they perceive themselves.

It shows, to some extent, the inner workings of the mind.

That's super interesting you should have ordered the questions by the defence mechanism to make it easier to follow

- I'm able to keep a problem out of my mind until I have time to deal with it. (suppression)
- I'm able to laugh at myself pretty easily. (humor)
- I'm usually able to see the funny side of an otherwise painful predicament. (humor)
- I am sure I get a raw deal from life. (projection)
- I often act impulsively when something is bothering me. (acting out)
- I get openly aggressive when I feel hurt. (acting out)
- Often I find that I don't feel anything when the situation would seem to warrant strong emotions. (isolation)
- People say I tend to ignore unpleasant facts as if they didn't exist. (denial)
- I fear nothing. (denial)
- I ignore danger as if I was Superman. (dissociation)

Also I guess I do both these on some extent, though I don't necessarily believe that my reasons were any good
- I am able to find good reasons for everything I do. (rationalization)
- There are always good reasons when things don't work out for me (rationalization)

So I do all four groups, psychotic, immature, neurotic, mature. I realize it is probably largely dependednt on my mood, one day I will be able to laugh it off and take the mature way, the next day I will flip out by the same thing
