Though his idea is that internal cues will have external effect and make him irresistible to women. I don't think it actually works that way. But he spent over 400 pages talking mostly to himself to try to find the right combo of words -- PF was sort of his laboratory for... well... way too long.

Ahh lol, yeah I know that trend. I heard just a few days ago a chick going on and on about how our thoughts emit energy to the outside world, and how if you think of the correct things with the correct inner wording they will materialize. But only if you use the exact correct words, cause the universe apparently is a bit slow in the head and only understands specific sentences and takes them very literally. Its kind of the new zodiac or the new yoga and meditation stuff, so many ppl I hear lately that believe this

Law of Attraction, yes. The idea of calling things into being. Isn't that the basis for the book The Secret, and now the pseudo-religion that stemmed from it?

Though I know that our thinking does affect how we behave and how others behave towards us, I can't subscribe to this idea that the universe is just waiting to send us precisely what we want if we just think it hard enough.

of course not. It can be useful, but those who believe their thoughts are literally emitting waves and the universe will give them what they want are wacked out.
