Yes, basically. Good observation, how did you know. I think it's probably 9w1 5w6 4w3 sx/sp. I am very focussed on image etc. so I relate a lot to type 3... but type 3 is the 'integration type' for 9 so it actually makes sense. It makes sense I'd be a triple withdrawn tritype (I.e. 4,5,9)...

I was dubious of the enneagram at first because it looks kinda weird and 'spiritual'. Like the enneagram symbol and some of the language used. But it turns out it's interesting and pretty useful. And I like that it compliments mbti as they measure different things. It's fun anyway.

What about you? I guess I could probably imagine you as INTJ for mbti though I don't have enough information obviously. (how much do you relate to inferior Se). And yeh maybe you just act more like an ENTP at times. INTJ and ENTP are actually quite similar in a way because they have the same order in terms of types of cognitive function I.e. Both of them have Dominant Intuition, Auxiliary Thinking, Tertiary Feeling, Inferior Sensing. But all in the opposite orientation of Introverted/Extroverted. So kinda like two sides of the same coin in a way. In socionics there's more theory on 'shadow functions' I think. Which I find interesting.

I scored this in Jungian Cognitive Functions Test, this test is best to relate to PDs in my opinion.

@Courtier

INTJ enneatype 7 sx/sp ? I'm not sure about my guess for the trifixes yet and I'm not familiar with the tritype descriptions btw either. But I'd guess 7w6 4w5 8w9 ?

P.s. I just read about when you ignored that hysterical bitch in the elevator and it's actually quite a (stereotypically) 9ish thing to do. I do stuff like that a lot. I just pretend they don't exist. But yeah I'd guess your gut fix is 8w9 (which could actually be quite similar I guess) but still. I just thought it was funny. And reminded me of such. Like the most evil thing a type 9 could do is ignore someone :lol: I am an expert in passive aggressiveness.

9s are prone to psychological merging. They start to become part of their surroundings and let others become part of them. Is that something you identify with?

Yes. I didnt even know I was doing it until I read a description of it. Apparently it's more of a sexual 9 subtype thing. Though social instinct 9's will 'merge' with groups. I think self-preservation 9's aren't actually so prone to merging (not sure what their version of it is - merging with their interests and themselves maybe). But yeah it is a 9 thing in general.

It's weird for me because I'm also extremely independent. So it seems contradictory. I merge with aesthetic experiences etc. mainly. I once 'merged' on purpose with my ex boyfriend because I liked him idk. He did the same with me as he was also a 9. I know it probably sounds really weird and I would have thought so too. But it just seemed like the best thing to do at the time I guess. With other people I'd describe it more as mirroring. Sometimes I'll mirror them on purpose if I need to and it will usually be very easy for me to do this, which can be very useful (for example job interviews, or it's the same process as method acting to me).

Other times it has been a real pain as I could find myself sort of zoned out, on some weird social autopilot and accidentally mirroring when I don't want to. Like I'm not there anymore. But that's only sometimes. And it's something I can get better at controlling. A 'healthy' 9 integrated to 3 wouldn't do that of course. Then I wouldn't zone out in the first place.

I can also be sensitive to psychological intrusions. I feel like people will steal something from me (psychologically). Though I've heard that's actually just a Schizoid thing anyway (well I think a lot of schizoids are 9's though). And I'm prone to intrusive thoughts. On the other hand I think it helps me to be good at cognitive empathy and perspective shifting. Which can obviously be useful and interesting.

Anyway yeah I guess it's related to seeming to have a pretty minimal personality and appearing like a blank canvas (everything is internal instead). So the idea is that if the 9 became more present then I guess maybe they'd be less prone to psychological merging.
