I wouldnt think so. But then what do I know. I dont really care about them in anyway, shape, or form. I had trouble with killing small animals when I was about 4 years old. And it kinda grew into a secret obsestion untill my mother finnally found out when I was about 6 years old. People in the trailer park used to wonder why I didnt it and to this day I still cant tell you. The first animal I killed was a kitten. Someone owned a large dog near by and they kept it penned up in a pourch. I threw the kitten in with the dog and watched it die. From that point on it became some kinda magical thing.

When I say magical thing I mean ofcourse the taking and sometimes sparing of lives. Drawing it out.

I don't really see why someone can't understand people placing animals above humans in regards to value.
In all cases but a very, very few, I would gladly throw people under the bus to save a cat.
My crimes against humanity have give me the power to fight evil!

just been diagnosed with ASPD. I don't have much interaction with my dog, there are times when I've wanted to kill him. I'd have more of a problem hurting a dog than any other animal.

I definitely qualify as an animal lover. My life, including my career, revolves around them. I've been obsessed for as long as I can remember. Any critter that comes inside, I take it back out (mice, spiders, crickets, etc), I don't kill it.
However, I have an incredibly low tolerance for disobedience and will lash out at them (physically) in frustration or retaliation very quickly. I know it's the fault of the owners for not training them properly but it's an impulse I have a very hard time controlling. I can see myself accidentally killing one out of anger.
I've never killed an animal other than for medical reasons, but I do enjoy that and dealing with their bodies. I wonder if I might be more likely to hurt/kill random animals if I didn't already have an outlet at work.

there are 2 topics about this and i answered different in the other but why do you find it strange though that some people prefer animals over humans.maybe it is because they trust them more or do not see them as threat. i felt more guilt and sad that i left my dog than when i left my father or my aunt i think i felt almost nothing. i still left the dog but is like i empathized more because it never hurt me
