I am not an animal lover.

they are gross, dirty, annoying, leave hair everywhere, and poop and pee, and bother you for attention, and just all-around look pitiful...

Are those thoughts about yourself or an animal?
Perhaps one in the same.

Most humans I know fit into your description. My dog does not

There are a lot misanthropic animal lovers on this forum :?

Wonder what's up with that...

Animals live in a completely different world from humans; they cannot possibly serve as substitute companions, and the relationship pet owners have with their pets is mostly based on delusion.

Not that human relationships are not susceptible to the same.

The dog or cat depends on you for food, shelter, etc. Of course it's going to give you the affection you so badly need (to get what it wants from you) and cannot or have not, for whatever reason, been able to receive from humans.

Your pets are manipulating you :?

Or maybe it's to fight of loneliness, not sure why people own pets.

I get lonely too but I just don't see how owning a pet could help, any more than owning a rock.

Lol the bolded....no just no

My pet might be manipulating me but he sure is fun to play with

In a lot of ways you're like a pet crystal. Except you can talk...I imagine you never shut up. You have some entertainment use

Think of this when you're thinking of why people own pets :D

You'd like to think that ;)

I find humans more fun to play with.

Also, I thought pets could talk?

Don't they bark and stuff?

No humans are gross. I don't want others humans touching me....

My comment was a bit on the sarcastic side but you don't see yourself as a pet? You are given food, shelter, clothing, etc in exchange for entertainment. You are as manipulative as a pet. I'm sure when he first thinks about it he thinks you love him...but when he thinks a little deeper he knows you'd trade him for a "steak" :?

So seriously, why aren't you a pet? I've never understood why men have gold diggers. I guess a girl with a pretty mouth is better than your hand...I dunno. Guess that's like me getting one of those moving dogs little girls have to replace mine

My dog doesn't bark more than once or twice a month. And he's a toy dog. Silent just the way I like my people 8)
