Yes. Sometimes I have dreams that I believe give me insight into how I feel. If something upset me in a dream, I consider that same thing may be upsetting me in real life.

That never quite works for me. My dreams are always fantastical. So, for example, being upset that being the (first human) elephant king in the year 2243 opens me for constant challenges from the entire elephant community inside a metropolis future city, doesn't really relate to real life (no worries, i got extremely horny & hid out in a big bosomed robot prostitutes hovel while the elephants roamed the city enraged). Even when there are real people in my dreams the things that might upset me deal with completely made up situations.

For me dream influencing real life emotions is if I feel a constant emotion towards someone in my dream then I sometimes continue feeling it after waking.

Oh. Dammit. Wanna swap dreams? My dreams are boring; I can't remember anything fantastical happening in them.
No diagnosis, lots of opinions, and a bunch of issues that I haven't quite figured out.

^Think of yourself as lucky... I went about 10 years believing I never had any dreams... maybe one or two every several months, if that. Now I look forward to waking up, almost...

Wow... sounds like Neuromancer. The lady with the mirror shades if my memory serves right. Prostitutes were hollowed out, and they lent their mind, body and soul, to downloadable programs. I guess the suitor or employee plugged and played personalities as they pleased.

Game faces for the most demanding jobs, I guess...

Elephants... yeah... I have no idea what they are supposed to symbolize... Babylon, or ancient wise souls, I truly have no idea. Did you know they communicate over miles across the savanna with their trumpets. Sound waves.

Anyways... last dream I had was of a dancer... but that's all that memory serves me...

The robot prostitutes...mostly they were owned by business owners that used them as advertising agents. They stood around the city advertising, but could also be bought for sex (all the money went back to the business owners). Oh man, I can still remember how horny I was when I came up to that busty robot. It was one of those dream where your body orgasms while you sleep.

yeah, the elephants were from an old zoo, had escaped and thrived over the last couple hundred years and were a huge presence in the city. the way you became king was killing the old king. which is why i was in so much trouble, being a human and all. they just all started rushing at me at once. it was pure accident i killed the old king.

Sounds like you need to be more concerned with the fantastical while awake!

i might have to read Neuromancer, it's a science fiction triple winner!

Because I was thrown here, after one too many political battles. I'm bad for the economy...

Some remarks about the Cannibal Killer... What was his name... The Casablanca gent... I've been kicked out of everywhere... imaginable... except oddly enough, education websites... you know physics and history, philosophy and such...
