The Manifesto of a Noncompliant Mental Patient

Open discussion about the Anti-Psychiatry Movement and related topics. This includes the opposition to forced treatment and hospitalization as well as the belief that Psychiatric Medication does more harm than good. Please note that these topics are controversial and therefore this forum may offend some people. This is not the belief of Psych Forums or Get Mental Help and this forum was posted to offer a safe place to discuss these beliefs.

There is no issue with posting the whole essay, or a link to the essay so long as there is a discussion to go along with it. This is a peer support forum, not a place to copy and paste other articles so they come up in a google search easier. Copy_Cat is correct, as this is considered spam, or advertisement and will be edited. Please see the sticky here: anti-psych/topic109290.html

It is not about singling out one person or moderating to my beliefs, it is about keeping to the rules of the site. There was no assigned moderator for this forum previously and it was clear that things had gotten out of hand in keeping with the forum rules. However, now that there is regular moderator presence we are trying to get back on track. We posted the sticky in the middle of March in order to reinforce a few items in particular that had gone previously overlooked without the moderator presence. It is important that you check the main board if/when new stickies occur.

This is actually a very good article, I have read it previously. I hope that we can start a discussion, but I will leave that up to you.
