Sure. The Vernal Equinox of 2012 is the date which the Mayan wisemen predicted the World would end. It's rather well-known. Of course, wisemen from scores of other all disparate ancient cultures independently predicted that this time (2004-2012) would constitute the final lap before destruction of Mankind, mostly based on astrology.

ALL you have to do is look around you. Man is soulless anymore, garbage, dreck... nothing but an after-image... nothing but image period. Of course the ultimate worshippable image was that of Ronald Wilson Reagan, who was mortally wounded but yet survived, to the awe of all. That is very clearly indicative of The End as well.

Since the 70's we have several waves of millenial "thinkers". using images from the book of revelations, poppycock "research", and the the never ending idiocy of many in the US, they have concocted all sorts of nonsense. First it was 1993-2000, then 1997-2003, when will it ever end? When there is no more money for the frauds to make.

instead of ceding your mental functions to this garbage, why not actually learn about the scientific method, the enlightment, other cultures and what is interesting about them, what you might learn from them. Instead of casting everything different as "bad". let light into your minds, not small minded hate driven drivel.

p.s. the methods of Freud are now practiced by less then 2% of the therapists in the US.
