Finding the right combination of meds

100 psychiatric medications to choose from there are more...

one pill 1 in 100

two psychiatric medications 100 x 99 = 9,900 combinations

three psychiatric medications 100 x 99 x 98 = 970,200 combinations

Four psychiatric medications 100 x 99 x 98 x 97 = 94,109,400 combinations

Five psychiatric medications 100 x 99 x 98 x 97 x 96 = 9,034,502,400 combinations

" We just have to find the right combination of meds "

9 billion thirty four million five hundred and two thousand four hundred combinations

Each medication has a number of SIDE EFFECTS

Any one good at math here ?

Well, I don't believe meds should be a first line of treatment in most cases, but there's a huge hole in your logic.

A single medication isn't used for every single disorder. There's a pool of them for specific conditions. Some of them cannot be taken together. People with certain medical conditions automatically have a whole bunch of them excluded.

You're right though, that magical "right combination" is as easy to find as a needle in a haystack.
Blame it on me, but know that I won't regret one iota.

I guess this was what I was getting at or part of it, 0 X 0 = zero

Some anti-depressant side effects: anxiety, insomnia, mania

Anxiety drug side effects: Drowsiness, dizziness, lightheadedness, fatigue

mania drug side effects: Fatigue, lethargy, depression ...

Stimulant drug side effects: ... insomnia, psychosis ...

anti-psychotic side effects : tardive dyskenisia, akathisia, Fatigue, lethargy, depression

Insomnia drug side effects... never ending branches and loops. 9,034,502,400 ? add medical side effects...

And the side effect of psychiatry : Coercion , people who live in countrys without a mental "health" system have much better recovery rates and many are just "happily insane".

coercive psychiatry side effects : severe panic attacks, ,PTSD , anxiety, fear, insomnia ,depression, hurt ,anger, distrust, resentments and grudges.
