Can I find counselor who doesn't advocate using medications?

I'm wondering if there is a counseling center/ counselor that does not promote medications. I have heard of it before, that there are certain counselors who believe in only using the Bible as opposed to medications.

Hi,

You should mention from the outset that you are not willing to take medication, and that you do not want it to be an issue during the counselling/theraoy sessions. When you say this, make it clear and precise, and don't leave any room for doubt.

I find that a lot of anger/frustration in us is related to how we communicate with others. For example, if we dont communicate exactly what we want in a certain situation, then we would be disappointed and perhaps angry.

Ethically any psychiatrist or psychologist is required to respect your wishes to be medication free. Took me a long time but I finally found a great Orthomolecular/Traditional psychiatrist who believes that less is more and prefers a homeopathic approach to mental well being. Search a good doctor out, and do a lot of talking beforehand, be quite up front with it. (I know God heals more than a doc ever could - but sometimes we need outside help). ; )
