Hahaha...They should start putting 'Drink Responsibly' labels on coffee.

Anyway, I have been drinking coffee since I was 12, but I've always been careful. Always only 1 shot if I get something from Starbucks, etc...People seem to think that caffeine simply gives you an energy boost, but too much can damage your liver and way too much can damage your brain.

Meh, like I said, just drink responsibly :P

I never consume caffeine, not even chocolate. Stimulants are just no good.

I'm new here (Hi) and I find this topic very interesting, as I do with everything else around here  anyway.

So what is suppose to be the link between Coffee and Mental Illnesses ?

All I can see is as a 1.5 litre Iced coffee a day drinker, which is mainly sugar and fake coffee but anyway lol.

"The more you drink the more you crave it."

Coffee itself bores me but Iced coffee, I love, it's the sugar.

Are you saying "whoever started this thread sorry", that the withdraw symptoms of coffee resemble that of a mental illness ?

Nonsense! I was drinking wine and espresso by that age! It's the italian way! If I was french, I'd have been smoking too!

Seriously though, it is unhealthy, but so what? Really, what difference does it really make whether or not kids get addicted to drugs? Either they are going to do it later anyhow, or they are going to die, cease to exist, and it won't matter anyhow. Though, I suppose on the same logic, it shouldn't matter if you are feeding cyanide to your kids. Still, the logic stands.

Well, I haven't been reading any of this, but I just spotted this. If you are the one who has the problem, then you are the one with the problem. Seems simple, but people go to great lengths to avoid this (cite: positive rights). If you have schizophrenia, it is not society's problem, it is not your parents problem, it is not gluten's problem. It is your problem. Whether or not these things are the cause of your problems is really immaterial if you are the one suffering it's burden.
