The Full Empaths Of The Species

Postby starseedleo » Wed Feb 09, 2011 12:55 pm

I think having more input filters in the brain, and more mirror neurons, makes it obvious that we are the full empaths of the species. Also considered Shaman in many parts of the world. Those most in touch with the spirit world and energy. I have put good info and videos about these matters on my blogspot. It made me feel better coming to know the truth about myself after the damage to my identity was done my the healers saying I had p. schz.

Does this information help your understanding?

This is a post to deal with the ad that obscures the second post on every thread. See the next post.

First, those with supposed schizophrenia do better when there is no mental health system.

Thirdly, there are no tests for mental illness.

There was part of a book I read some time ago in which it was said that "model children" were more at risk for schizophrenia. Gentle compliant kids.

I came to these forums tonight, searching for something a bit unrelated and see some threads directly related to what i've been researching lately. So, I feel compelled to add to the thread here for the benefit of any who are interested.

I wrote this email a month ago on the subject:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shamanism

"Shamanism is a 'calling'. Individuals who are 'called' typically experience an illness of some sort over a prolonged period of time. This illness will prompt the individual to seek out spiritual guidance and other shamanic healers. Such illnesses are usually not healed/curable by physicians and western medicine. The shaman heals through spiritual means that consequently affect the human world by bringing about restored health."

"The wounded healer is archetype for a shamanizing journey. This process is important to the young shaman. He undergoes a type of sickness that pushes him to the brink of death. This happens for two reasons:

The shaman crosses over to the under world. This happens so the shaman can venture to its depths to bring back vital information for the sick, and the tribe.
The shaman must become sick to understand sickness. When the shaman overcomes his own sickness he will hold the cure to heal all that suffer. This is the uncanny mark of the wounded healer."

http://books.google.com/books?id=X8waCm ... st&f=false

"[...]a person becomes a shaman through the classic shamanist experience of social alienation and inexplicable "spirit illness"[...]"

"[...]but most people dread the spirit illness and the hard life of a social outcast it leads to."

Terence McKenna said schizophrenia was really just shamanism: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEglHjd_gUQ

Imagine: modern-day shamans - no longer wanted by society. In another culture, or time, a shaman would be needed, praised, respected, but today they are labeled and medicated.

There is also a nice Youtube channel called BipolarORwakingup which contains outstanding videos based on the theory that bipolar disorder is merely a healing process for traumatized individuals. Instead, they are medicated and the healing never happens.

That book in the quoted section of the previous post does sound interesting.

I was always good when I was young...I don't remember having a tantrum or anything, I did what my parents told me right away from a pretty young age, and everyone always told my parents how good us two kids were. I'm sure I'm not the only kid like this in the world, but my parents prided themselves on how good we were. This is kind of a big connection, and I'm not saying it's necessarily the right one, but I did get "sick" a few years ago, and the diagnosis was schizophreniform disorder.

I know you shouldn't re-hash things too much...but I'm not sure I really "hashed" them in the first place. You're not supposed to re-live and begrudge everything, but to acknowledge and deal with it to move on. Thing is, I'm not sure I've dealt with everything yet. It's not really a big deal compared to everything people go through on this site. But this is about me right now, and so for me this is what it is. Everyone has crap in their lives, whether it's big or small, and everyone needs center stage now and then...something I feel bad about taking. Sometimes it would be nice to have everything about me. I hardly ever feel comfortable talking completely about myself...if I'm talking with a friend, I always feel like I have to switch the topic to them eventually. But friendships aren't there for us to practice our juggling or balancing skills. They're there to be there for us.

It's funny how we most avoid the things we need most. I seem to do that a lot. I could be cracking because of my need for love, and yet avoid it like the plague. It feels like I'm doing that recently. That's what I did before I got sick almost 4 years ago. For me, it all comes down to pride and control. If I'm the "good kid" who's supposed to be the good example to everyone, why would I need help? Why would I be used to realizing I'm human? And then it's about control...for me, it's not about doing things that help me or that I may even desperately need, but it's about remaining in control...always seeming like I'm doing ok...not breaking down or showing anything to people I don't want to show...always doing the socially proper thing...it's about always seeming cool and in control of myself, even if I feel like I'm screaming and dying inside.

So that's why I believe the book mentioned above may have a point.

And what of aspies.. are we not ever to be shamans?
NO.. we become scientists.
philosophers and makers of machine thingies.

Emotion is a dirty word.
Thus we learnt to fly like birds.

Id rather fly than know the truth of my neighbors life. Or have power over a tribe.

i am an eagle.. not a rat

Schizo**** is way too over-diagnosed these days. Who doesn't have it these days? Like the previous poster said, it is more likely that I have aspergers, not skitzo. Get off of gluten products (wheat) and get back to me. I would love to do real magic though, if that turns out to be real get back to me.
