hey guys,
can we start up some dialouge on anti anxiety and anti depression meds? I think it would be really helpful for people to share their experiences, because this being an annon forum, privacy is not a problem, which im guessing is a major roadblock in the discussion of meds in general.
or is that for another forum?

Hi,

What was your topic about? It might possibly have been deleted in error by a moderator (like myself) who mistook it as spam.

Surely a mod would send a notice that the post was deleted?

I promise to make more meaningful posts.

No not all member's would be notified. I think member's need to make clear when they post that what they are posting isn't spam, because if we believe that it is, it will be removed.... this place gets targeted a lot so we have to be watchful.

I'm sorry if your post was removed, but it may have been removed because it did look like spam.

Isolation is still very predominant in BC. I'm thinking of going to Riverview (psychiatric hospital) and starting a petition to stop isolation on patients.

In what cases is isolation used as a form of treatment, whero?

When they commit you to a hospital you are straight away put into isolation. This is in Canada where health care is suppose to be most advanced in the world.

They also isolate you when they believe you are misbehaving. I've noticed that when they put someone there they only get angrier.

I don't want to believe that this is true, whero, but I doubt that you are lying either. Still, it cannot be the case for every patient admitted to a hospital in Canada, can it? When I was admitted to hospital here (Ireland), I was placed in the most secure ward, but I was not put in isolation or anything.

There was a guy who is as far I know committed for life and he was in my ward and was placed into seclusion for wanting to see his doctor. It's a real shame they have such crude uses of practice. For the most part I thought Mexico was a much better hospital than in Canada. Really shows that advances in technology don't account for everything.

FYI the hospitals in Mexico were overflowing with patients and even with there huge numbers (maybe 200-300) they still had great patient-doctor relations (as in I was able to see a doctor almost anytime during the day I wanted) and in a country where English is not the official language. A good work ethic can really make a big difference.
