This is an interesting discussion. I’ve always thought the purpose of Radical Acceptance was to simply acknowledge things as they really are. This does not mean “sucking up” past injustices or allowing current abuse to continue.

I make myself sick obsessing and replaying events over in my mind. I imagine what might have happened if things had gone differently and it accomplishes nothing. Radical acceptance doesn’t say I have to like what has happened. It doesn’t say I can’t talk about it or complain. It just means that I have to come to terms with what is. I have to accept what happened in my past cannot be changed.

One thing I have taken from DBT is that not all skills are going to apply for all situations or all people. If a particular skill is going to be problematic for you, it's suggested that you avoid it or use others that are more beneficial. In terms of rape victims I believe Radical Acceptance would simply mean accepting the reality of what has happened as opposed to denial. However, I've never gotten the impression that radical acceptance is about shrugging your shoulders and just being okay with something painful that has happened in your life.
