pissed off

Postby sssfjuu » Wed Dec 02, 2009 5:41 pm

Okay so I finally decide to see a shrink haven't seen one in 5 years because he was an indifferent asshole who told me I was just a hermit who needed to "suck it up" and get on with doing things then tried to bill ohip and me for an appointment he was 45 minutes late for. So I finally get my refferal and guess what its for the same asshole as before. If I didn't get anything useful last time what are the chances this time. I want to request somebody else but I don't want to be pegged as difficult because they all work together. Any ideas?

Hi I am angry because I have received a refferal to the same doctor I had a few years ago. I saw him 5 years ago and he was indifferent and disrespectful to most of what I said. I also think he is dishonest. I missed an appointment ( I was at a funeral ) so he said he would let it slide but if I missed another he would charge me 200 bucks. The next appointment he was an hour late and I had too leave he then tried too charge me 200 bucks. I feel this is dishonest because he also bills ohip for the sessions and he was the one who was late. I feel trapped because it takes a long time to get a refferal and now I'll have too start the process all over again and I really don't know if I can wait.

IF you do not like the psych that he refers you too you have a right to tell that psych that you would like to be refereed to someone else. They will do that for you.

And you SHOULD be angry. I would REFUSE to pay the 200 dollars on the grounds that you were there at the time you were supposed to be there. It is not your fault that he is the one that showed up one hour late. You bare no responsibility to pay 200 dollars because you were there on time. You are not responsible to stay at the appointment any longer then the hour you waited for him. What he is saying is that his time is more valuable then yours.

I would flat out refuse to pay. And if he continues to try to convince you that your responsible for paying him I would explain further why you should not. If he still persists, I would tell him you are going to report him to your local Mental Health Office and file a complaint.

Also I would drop him completely and seek other means to obtain a doctor.
