eartianwerewolf, is there not a free counselling service where you work? If you attend college/university, therer definately should be a free service. It's a pity that such an important thing should be constrained by money. Who thinks that you're just doing this for attention, by the way? You have to realise that you ARE behaving this way for attention, but you want attention because you're in pain! I hate the way people view 'attention seekling' as a negative. it's a cry for help, nothing more.

Take care,
Kevin

I'm only in high school. So I think I go to crappy state-funded places. I'm an 11th grader.

I really do want help. The psychiatrists kept asking if I was having boyfriend trouble. Not only have I never had a boyfriend, I wish that was all I was upset about. The thing is I'm upset over everything. They just seemed to put me into the category of "attention seeking teenager thorwing a fit".

Oh dear, they're not playing the 'boyfriend' card, are they? That tells me that they simply view your problems as nothing more than 'typical' teenage problems, when clearly they aren't. This is where you will need some ingenuity. I mean, you will have to make them believe that your case is different from the rest of them.

I know. But the only thing I can think of is doing something extreme.

But of course I probably shouldn't do that, but if talking doesn't do anything.....

I wish I could help myself, but I feel like I'm in a hole I can't get out of. Not by myself, anyway.

Yeh, I understand how lost you must be feeling. That feeling of absolutely no-one understanding you is one lonely feeling indeed. But look, there are many people here who understand you. By 'extreme', I assume that you mean doing bad things, right? Don't worry about it because i get thoughts like that in my hgead every day. If I acted on these thoughts, then I'd be in jail for the rest of my life. I can control my thoughts though. If you don't feel comfortable sharing these thoughts here, then just send me a PM. Don't worry, I'm not an undercover cop either!

Take care,
Kevin
