Psychology/Psychiatry is all a scam

I agree with Faerie. This country does have horrible health care. That's why young black men and women have so many problems like no father in the house, mama don't want them around anymore, and this is why crime is so out of control in this country. I myself face these same issues but they are 10x as bad because I have mental problems of my own. I have Asperger's, Depression, Anxiety, and self-diagnosed BPD. Most of these stem from problems in the home. After all, mental illness has to start somewhere.

Serial Killers tend to have serious if not severe problems and some of these began in the home. Jeffery Dahmer murdered 20 young boys before he died. He was killing animals and having sex with boys his age when he was a child. Gacy was abused most of his life and he killed dozens of men and boys. Why do you think there's so many sex predators out there now? 40 years ago they were nonexistent but nowadays there's so much abuse in the home that young boys, girls, adult men, and even women abuse children. I'd say that of the 3-4 million Americans that are incarcerated in these so-called prisons, half of them are sick in the head. Murderers, rapist, sex offenders, and the like. Now tell me if anyone is doing anything about it.

You are hinting at something very important here Marv: That there is usualy a hisrtory of misbehaviour behind every criminal/murderer. However, this behaviour is often overlooked or not considered. I strongly believe that a lot of serial killers could be 'saved' if they received the right therapy and - to be honest - affection/love. They seem to be 'cold' individuals who do not interact well with people. Their relationships with people are typically 'skewed', therefore.

Plain and Simple.

I suggest that everyone find and watch a documentary on google video and youtube that is called:

Psychiatry: An Industry of Death

and wake up. This needs to be revealed.

Of course it's a business - That's nothing new, right? Do you think psychologists are going to work for free? They have needs just like you, and they need money to get those needs. Most of these people have trained for many years to get where they are, and the system is such that the majority will be competent at their job.

To focus on a financial motivation totally trivializes the atrocities.

I have watch half of the documentary and it makes me sick to my stomach that most everyone with a form of mental illness is being mistreated, used, and abused. Hell look at the history behind it.

Marvin, my good friend, I don't think that is the truth. If you think about it this way: Who are the people most likely to speak about psychology and getting help? It is the people for whom psychology has not worked. The people who are 'cured' would not be likely to make videos or come to web forums to write about their experiences with their psychologist/psychiatrist.

Psychology works for many people; much more than those it fails.

You're dead wrong Kevin. The DSM, chemical imbalances, all of it's a lie. Every single word of it. There's no test out there to tell if someone's sick or not. All that $#%^ you have been taught is a big fat lie. I know the truth and will talk with anybody who wants to know if they wish or not. Watch the documentary.
