No no, we're not arguing at all (well, I'm not) - You only think that we are. That's one big pitfall of the Internet: Emotions cannot be conveyed very well. Plus, my language can be very direct which can come across as being argumentative.
I doubt many people do actually believe that humans existed when the dinosaurs were around. Then again, I doubt many people even care if we were or not. The common person simply doesn't think about such things.
