Need Help

I don't know if this is the right spot for this, but I need help on something.

I need to know if Andrei (Andre) Chikatilo was a psychopath, and I need some information on it, not just a yes or no answer. I need to give this info to a friend who is in desperate need, thanks.

I have never heard of this guy but I just researched him and it says that he was a Russian serial killer. Apparently, he was sane, but the prosecutors that interrogated him gave him the idea that they all felt he was very mentally ill. Thus, if he confessed to the killings, he may get some degree of leniency. However, after confessing and helping the police find bodies, it was determined that was actually sane.

...or something like that.
