Hello people,
First of all I ask you to forgive me any spelling mistakes and weird sentence constructions as my native language is Dutch.
As a psychiatric patient for 5 years now I think I can consider myself an expert by experience, a title that the psychiatric personnel here in Belgium allows you to wear.
As my psychiatrist encouraged me to get insight in my disease, they diagnosed me as someone who had a psychosis -she never dropped the term schizophrenia- I went searching on the web for further information. During this exploration I encountered the website
http://www.successfulschizophrenia.org.
I consider this website as a major inspirational source on my way to rehabilitation. That's why I like to share it with other people that have doubts about the merits of traditional psychiatry.
So you know: I also placed a link to this website on a Dutch mental health forum part of the website http://www.stichtingpandora.nl.
A few minutes later they blocked my account and the post got removed. I contacted their administrator with the simple question Why? accompanied by some suggestions I have about their motives and knowing that expecting an answer would be an illusion.
Well, I sure hope to get some feedback about the website.
