About the topic of free speech, practice being gentle. I can see that you are a feisty little gal who is not afraid of a good scrap, but just tone it down, please. Someone else had also said something inappropriate in Ifonly's thread, so it wasn't just you being corrected. We are not attacking you, just trying to guide you in proper forum protocol.
This is for everyone; think before you post.

S/he was passing along an opinion which should be allowed yet keep in mind this is a company, And more spicifically a site for SUPPORT. And in the context of that thread and his post he wasnt doing that, therefore not following the guidelines of the site. And also derailing a thread off topic which is a violation of the rule's. So yes, They could justify a ban or warning dispite freedom of speech because it's violating set rules.

If this is a site for support and you think that "NW come's off like some spoiled kid having a dramatic tantrum" why not try giving her some support for a change instead of threatening her with a ban?

On a more general point relating to free speech surely on a forum for people with psychological problems you've got to expect and make allowances for people with unusual views or ways of expressing themselves. Threatening people with bans who may be in need of support themselves because you don't like their attitude or because you don't fully understand what they are saying seems not only to be wrong but in the long term may be damaging to the individual concerned.

First off, NW is not being banned:
Admin wrote: We haven't banned her and we can't ban for a negative attitude or we'd end up banning everyone on the site. Just write and explain that she was never banned and she may have used an IP address that was banned - especially if she uses an ISP with dynamic IPs.

Secondly, even though we do get all sorts of people with all levels of maturity and severity of mental illness posting here, we do have some simple guidelines, or rules of conduct that we will inforce to protect the very vulnerable members. We don't have a padded cell to put the more rambunctious members in, so the best we can do is try to guide, and if necessary, edit or delete really mean posts directed at other members.
In summary, since we are not all sweetness and light, tolerance is allowed for negative attitudes and incomprehensible rants, just please leave off attacking anyone else.
