One life to live

I think I dislike psych for this additional reason: it encourages the view of multiple lifetimes. It heartlessly labels the patient as a dreadfully bad human being for his/her current lifetime; the patient's given name is thoroughly trashed ie. "history of mental illness": no worse condemnation than that is possible and it is tantamount to eternal damnation. "So much for this lifetime", laments society; maybe next time around he/she will be fortunate enough to overcome detraction.

So Psych presumes the "Jesus is Lord" mentality IMHO. It wants people to be trapped on the endless and merciless (and oh so evil) merry-go-round of eternal transmigration of the soul, karmic entrapment, forever choosing and battling foes and ultimately losing. Only ONE victor in that horrible game: the original, the Alpha and the Omega, never-to-be-defrocked "JC". Yeech!
