Why I think people should just move on

Ok . You had some bad experiences with psychiatrists, antypsihotics or at hospital. But what are doing to go beyond that?
Are you eating veggies and fruits? Drinking enough watter? Taking your mind on a better situation.

There is a difference between accepting what is happening ( best) being like minded with doctors who have let's say 50% good intents. And being against (worst)
Are you better than your doctor ? Are you doing so well that you can say mental illness is the least I'm thinking off?

I personally have plenty of pills on the shelf.
Occasionally think
1. Not taking them will make me worse or better? am I going to end up in hospital again?
2. Suicidal thoughts i.e. marilyn monroe type of situation
3.srsly asking parents not to push the drugs as my period is not coming

How will I face A. that is the psychiatrist I visit.
When whe will say about all of this drug pushing technique he has.

I will just won't argue.

And just ask for what I need most at that time.

Psychiatrists are fairly intelligent human beings . In my town there isn't even a psychiatrist thar works indepenedent from the hospital.

I would really appreciate therapy with a psychiatrist.

The problem I have is that psychiatrists are human like everyone else, and are prone to mistakes and arrogance like anyone else. It's better to question than to submit, in my opinion, and that goes for anything in life. I can't, with a good conscience, put my life and my health in the hands of someone who doesn't know anymore than I do--in fact, in regards to mental health, they know less than I do, as the majority of psychiatrists do not have lived mental health experience. Psych drugs are built on the basis of 1) How much money will this make and 2) really horrible guesses. Any researcher with a decent amount of self respect will readily admit they have no idea how medications "work".

Of course, that would require you to have them define what "Work" means. If it puts someone in a zombie state, emotionless, does that mean it "works"? There's a lot of questions around research. As someone who has seen and been on the research ends of things, I can easily say psych research papers on medication are by far the easiest thing to manipulate. All you have to do is change the P-Value (your effect size) in the statistics you publish (i.e, making something .01 rather than .05) to convince the FDA the drug has "promise."

Long term studies? Those run less than a year. The majority of Atypical Antipsychotics, the supposed "second generation" antipsychotics? Show the same amount of "success" as the infamous chemical lobotomy (Thorzine) and Haldol. Drugs get recycled throughout the years, slapped with a new name, a study that shows nothing really, the FDA approves it and the company makes billions. It's a business, it's simple.

I'm only anti-stupidity, not anti-psychiatry, and what these people do is very, very stupid. If they put half as much effort into caring for people like humans as they do making new drugs, the majority of people wouldn't even be on anti-psychotics.
I like living in the world in my head because I'm in charge half the time.
