So I'm posting here to get some advice from you guys.

I recently had a psychotic breakdown whereby I started to hallucinate and had paranoid dellusions. I was acting out so they put me in a psych ward and was forced to take their drugs. I was first given risperidone pills but then decided to switch to abilify. The effects were horrible and it lead me to commit suicide (read side effects, it's there!). I then accepted to get injections of paliperidone which is the same active agent as risperidone and was then allowed to leave the hospital.

I have been appointed a caretaker and a pdoc to follow me up. I've been taking my doses as prescribed for months now. I'm considering stopping the medication but my caretaker keeps recommending that I stay on it. Technically, I'm not on a CTO so I have the right to stop the medication.

Do you think I should just tell them to stop giving me the injections or wait it out until they run out (in a few months)?

I think you should follow your gut feeling first and foremost.

If your body's continuously sending out signals trying to show you what a havoc these meds are xreaking, best listen to what it has to say, for your body truly knows best and better than any reckless psychomedic what's good for you and what isn't.

After all they're most of the time trying things out without fully being aware of all the repercussions that may possibly ensue upon ingesting these often toxic substances that have not been thoroughly tested yet to prove their reliability in full.

Moreover, i advise you to consult someone who isn't in this business to profit of the prolongation of your medical treatment and who genuinely cares about your well-being in the first place.

After that, it's up to you to make up your own mind, preferrably being guided by people who know fully well what they're doing and who aren't engaged in reckless experiments with little to no care about the damage they may be committing.
Cause in the end you'll have to sit with the effects their oftentimes ill-considered choices will have exerted upon your being.

I had a blood test done and the results showed that my liver enzymes are not the way they are supposed to be (too high). Also, my cholesterol is slightly too high. I am sure that these are both related to the drug I'm taking. This is what makes me lean towards discontinuing the treatment.
