I understand that a DSM diagnostic label has been assigned to me, based on my doctor's (and perhaps also on other people's) subjective judgment of my speech, manner, and behavior during our meeting, which lasted approximately _____ minutes.
I understand that although my doctor says that I am sick or that I have a treatable illness or disease, he or she is just using a figure of speech and cannot establish, with any test or procedure known to medical science that I in fact "have" the "illness" implied by the diagnostic label.LordByron wrote:I do not like the medication it makes me throw up and makes me feel punch drunk and stupid.
So quit. Why screw with these doctors and all this psychiatry bull $#%^ when all you have to do is quit and like just walk off the battlefield ?
I never had any "bipolar disorder" I had anxiety then was given these pills that didn't help then addictive ones then I have so called ADHD and start the adderal speed then I am "bipolar" too.
I didn't know psychiatry was a big fraud and believed that serotonin marketing lie and got in deep.
Here is one for you
US Children Diagnosed With Bipolar 72 Times More Often than Kids in UK
Children and youth in the United States are leaving hospitals with a diagnosis of bipolar disorder 72.1 times more often than children and youth in the UK, according to a study led by University of Oxford researchers published in the Journal of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. US children receive a diagnosis of bipolar at a rate of 100.9 per 100,000 population compared to 1.4 per 100,000 in the UK.http://www.madinamerica.com/2014/10/us-youth-diagnosed-bipolar-72-times-often-uk/So anyway if the treatment for the so called bipolar makes you feel worse again just walk away.
Thanks but no thanks psychiatry is not for me have a nice day or have a nice life and stay out of mine wile your at it.
Or stick around and argue that your not "bipolar" and prove them all wrong. Have fun with that.

PS
If you have been taking those pills daily for a wile don't just throw them out and quit cold turkey. Taper down. Withdrawal reactions are no joke. And remember since the mental health system got you started on drugs, it also has a responsibility to help you terminate those drugs as safely as possible if that is your choice. Then tell them to ###$ off.
I survived psychiatry.
