Have you been mistreated in one of their facilities ?

Here are a few websites speaking out.

This site is dedicated to all the people who were harmed or killed in UHS facilities. They speak for those who have no voice, to protect others from experiencing the pain they endured.

Now UHS is under investigation by the Criminal Fraud Section of the U.S. Justice Department. They’re looking at whether UHS — a for-profit company — has been fraudulently billing for behavioral care. About one-quarter of every dollar UHS makes at its behavioral facilities goes into profits, not care. In 2014, UHS CEO Alan Miller got $18.4 million in total compensation, a 40 percent boost from the year before. Miller and his son control nearly 90 percent of the voting shares in UHS.

From the last link in your first post in this thread:

There is nothing wrong with for-profit business ventures but not at the expense of human life, health or sanity.

I agree but also disagree. Mixing for-profit with help is never a good idea in an area with vulnerable people having little oversight. Its bound to gradually move away from help.

As has too often been the case in the field of mental health, the many UHS patients in this report were not regarded as “fellow human beings,” but apparently as objects—numbers with which to create income by billing school districts and insurance companies.

Thats reality and this is why psychiatric institutions do so much harm. It has nothing to do with help and everything to do with raking in money.

Throughout this time, the husband attempted to have wife released only to be told by the psychiatrist that he would have him put in jail, that he (psychiatrist) “makes the rules” and “has the power.”

Common theme. You would think a country with a constitution would prevent this, but it does not. Psychiatry is treason.

The bill of rights... as if that applies to anyone unlucky enough to get abducted by a UHS facilty.

8th amendment says you cant have cruel and unusual punishment but every day people who refuse their pill lobotomies due to 'side' effects are punished with painful injections of drugs that disable their ability to even use there own mind. Their conscienceless forcible altered. Ability to feel disabled. There bodies subject to toxins. Their health and life put at risk.

Many suffer a catastrophic reaction to the drugs, a condition known as neuroleptic malignant syndrome. Those unfortunate enough to develop this disorder will typically experience a period of apathy and disinterest in their surroundings, followed by fever, heart problems, coma and death.

A violation of human rights and human rights are bigger than civil rights.

Forced drugging is rape. Bodily integrity is the inviolability of the physical body and emphasizes the importance of personal autonomy and control of human beings over their own bodies.

You *must* take this drug even though the label includes death in the list of possible side effects and other 'side' effects that are really just effects that make every system in the body malfunction to a degree.

Its so awful, I really don't have the writing skills to adequately describe the atrocities , the human rights violations psychiatry calls "help" to people who have never seen or lived it.

They have the doors locked for a reason.

“Danger in the Psych Ward”

Around The Web March 21, 2016

The Dallas Morning News features an investigation into the safety issues that are plaguing mental-health hospitals in Texas and across the US -- all owned by one giant chain: Universal Health Services Inc.

Another incredible place to report abuses is here:

https://www.cchrint-programs.org/acms/case/create

These guys have put hundreds and hundreds of Psychs behind bars, closed dozens of institutions and have been the cause of dozens of new laws against Psychiatry's hold on people across the planet.

Well at the very least, it's great that that 'anti-psych' companies such as that one exist. Least now people won't have to suffer in silence; they can finally be heard and call out their past abusers...

The "strip search" is just another awful aspect of these places, it's bordering on a violation of human right.

In the BuzzFeed News investigation — which was based on nearly 300 interviews, including 175 current and former employees of the company, as well as a cache of internal documents — employees of 10 hospitals said they were under pressure to fill beds by methods that included exaggerating people’s symptoms and distorting their words to make them sound suicidal.

1) As with many institutions, the corrective actions are often temporary, only to resume once backs have turned.

2) Penalties are seen justifiable when they are a fraction of long term financial gains. Look at big pharma as an example- settlements aren't stopping them.

I hope more lawsuits come making the current business model unsustainable. Best solution would be making the entire system of for-profit illegal.
