Last words of a medical model defender "are you a doctor ?"

"Are you a doctor" ? "Did you goto medical school" ?

They almost always fall back on that one when you debunk all their "evidence" supporting the medical model of alcoholism or mental illness.

I had this one guy telling me alcoholism is genetic because it runs in families.

Really ?

So I told him using his logic being Democrat or Republican is also genetic cause that runs in families too.

I guess being Yankees vs being a Mets fan is genetic cause that runs in families.

I guess being Christian or Muslim is genetic too, that runs in families.

Genetic testing can be used to tell if a person carries a mutation of the cystic fibrosis gene. The test looks at a person's DNA (genetic material), which is taken from cells in a blood sample or from cells that are gently scraped from inside the mouth.

In the United States, the number of people who carry a CF gene mutation is about:

1 in 29 Caucasian-Americans
1 in 46 Hispanic-Americans
1 in 65 African-Americans
1 in 90 Asian-Americans

In the United States, the number of people who have CF is about:

1 in 2,500 - 3,500 Caucasian-Americans...

Genetic diseases can be tested for and even blue eyes vs brown eyes stuff like that follows exact mathematical patterns not the random noise of "inheriting alcoholism" or mental illness.

So you drank because of your bad DNA , can I see your DNA test ?

"Are you a doctor" ? ... "did you goto medical school" ?

LOL ROTF when you back them into a corner and they say that !!
I survived psychiatry.

I have better degrees than charlatans and this is what I've come up with:

"Are you a doctor"? "Did you go to a medical school"?

Reply with 2 questions back:
Which degree did you get? 2nd or 3rd class?
Did you learn anything at all in the medical school?

Eventually continue:
Did you ever take logic in the medical school? (frown when saying "medical school" in disgust)
Or: What kind of logic class was that? Did you just passed exams without learning anything?

Always answer questions with questions, turn every "strength" against him. First, attack his doctoral education! Make yourself believe his medical education is lame, impractical, he is incompetent, lame, illogical, grotesque, etc. You can grill them on their education and lack of thereof, i.e. "seriously? And you call yourself a doctor? Where did you get your degree?", crticizie his lack of education, criticize his university, criticize his opinions, tell him he doesn't know anything, tell him he should have failed his degree, or that he should return it, etc.
