forced injections (violation of court order/lackthereof)

Postby Darkcheese » Sat Oct 31, 2015 9:23 pm

I was in a mental hospital without a court order when I was 16 and I was given a forced injection and haven't been able to get help from a lawyer. The same thing happened last year when I had a court order but the judge crossed out the part that said that they were aloud to forcibly medicate me... How can I get a lawyer to file suit and why wont a lawyer take my case?

If you pay a lawyer they will sue anyone you want, its getting them to help you first and then paying them with part of a possible settlement that difficult.

I was unable to get a lawyer to help me even after I got my medical records from that hell hole called a "hospital".

To file a complaint about conditions at a hospital (like rooms being too hot or cold, cold food, or poor housekeeping) contact your State department of health services. To file a complaint about your doctor (like unprofessional conduct, incompetent practice, or licensing questions), contact your State medical board. https://www.medicare.gov/claims-and-app ... care-.html

Here is the search http://www.google.com/search?q=file+complaint+against+doctor

That may sound lame just filing complaints but they have to follow up and give you answers they cant just blow it off.

I know this situation of hospital abuse sucks cause I knew they violated me and I was right they were wrong followed by the insult to the injury of not having any recourse.

I think if you want to do this start with getting your medical records to see what they have to say about it and start with the complaints.

Then maybe you might have something a lawyer would be interested in.

See what you can find on this website,

Law Project for Psychiatric Rights
psychrights.org/
A tax-exempt charity devoted to protecting people from the harm and abuse from forced psychiatric drugging resulting in emotional and physical damage.

Lets see what other people post but get those medical records.

I really hate to say give it up but I have been posting here for a wile, read this question before and lived it myself and this part after the hospital where you know they violated your rights and the lawyers won't help is like the second slap in the face. Do file the complaints though.

Maybe send a lawyer this ,

Marion was offered but refused medication. But Bellevue Dr. Robert LaFargue wrote out an order authorizing him to be injected with Haldol, an antipsychotic, and Ativan, a tranquilizer, and stating that, from then on, Marion was to take another drug, Depakote, orally, on threat of injection.

In his testimony, Marion described being strapped down to a gurney, a nurse hovering over him with a needle, then injecting him, “like in ‘The Cuckoo’s Nest,’ ” referring to Ken Kesey’s novel about a psychiatric hospital from hell. Comparing himself to “Louima,” as in police brutality victim Abner Louima, Marion said, “They used a toilet plunger for him and a needle for me.”...

The jury ultimately voted to award Marion $750,000 in damages for being held against his will for six days, $250,000 for being illegally injected with drugs and $1 for having to orally take medication.
