If my local mechanic effes up my car and makes it run worse I don't have to pay so why shouldn't I get a refund for that decade of hell psychiatry put me through ?

I ask the same question. Based on what Ive seen I truly believe many people deserve compensation for what they had to endure. A sane person can sue for medical mal practice, but when it comes to psychiatry that seems a lot harder to do. If psychiatry was re-reprimanded for its wrong doings it would be nowhere as bad. The system would be forced to improve.

Also, Copy_Cat I want to say sorry for what you had to endure. That was wrong, no one deserves to go through that.

ESSEX, Vt. — A mother who has been hospitalized against her will for five weeks following a murder-suicide involving her teenage son and her estranged husband says she and her insurance company are being billed for her unwanted treatment.

"People are billed as if they are there voluntarily," Donahue said in a phone interview Tuesday. "It's a bill you didn't ask for and you didn't want."

A conflict of interest (COI) is a situation in which a person or organization is involved in multiple interests (financial, emotional, or otherwise), one of which could possibly corrupt the motivation of the individual or organization.
