The psychiatric system in countries such as the uk will target many types of people, for example individuals with a combination of high intelligence and physical ability. Antipsychotics are used because they cause severe mental and physical injury, taking into account dosage and length of time taken. Given a system of coercive psychiatry the drugs can be forcibly administered.

Taking Zyprexa as an example:

In 2006, Lilly paid $700 million to settle 8,000 lawsuits from people who said they had developed diabetes or other diseases after taking Zyprexa.

On January 4, 2007, Eli Lilly agreed to pay up to $500 million to settle 18,000 similar lawsuits, or - including earlier settlements - at least $1.2 billion to 28,500 people.

On January 15, 2009 Eli Lilly pled guilty to a misdemeanor charge of illegally marketing Zyprexa for off-label use, and agreed to pay $1.4 billion.

Having mentioned dosage I would like to qualify that by saying even the lowest dose can quickly result in physical problems including significant weight gain and impaired muscle function.

I have many I could list, but Geodon was the worst medication I have ever taken. It took me a long time to get off of it. I had to titrate slowly over the course of almost 5 months to get to a low enough dose that I wasn't having withdrawal symptoms. I also had horrible psychosis from taking Haldol for a few weeks. I was so debilitated that I was unable to move or think straight for almost 2 weeks even after I stopped taking it. Effexor was also very difficult to stop, even though I was breaking it down into tiny bits before completely stopping. I was so dizzy that I was in bed for a week taking Antivert, which is just a high dose of dramamine. Needless to say, after years of taking psychotropic medications, I now only take something for sleep. I will never take any of them again, as I tried many types of antidepressants and antipsychotics in varying combinations. I found out after I decided to quit that you are considered treatment resistant after trying 3 medications with no effect. I wish someone would have told me this years earlier. I think my memory has been affected from all the psyche meds I took over the years. Of course, I can't prove this, but I think they caused damage to my brain. The mental hospital I go to now accepts the fact that I am treatment resistant and they don't push meds on me anymore, but it took them awhile to stop trying to push them on me. I had to get angry a couple of times, and they finally realized I was serious, that no matter how bad my depression gets, meds are not an answer for me.

Meds didn't make me anti-psych. Psychiatrists did. The are morons and liars. I refused to take their drugs so they held me in an institution for over 2 years and tried to get a court order to force drug me. They lied and lied and lied in order to win, but they lost.

Parador, I am so glad those mofos have lost. We ######6 need to sue all those mofos in a civil lawsuit, and the drug companies, and the hospitals, all for fraud and false medical claims, as they cannot prove it, they can only say it, and they lie and lie and lie. ######6 bastards, I so want to kick their ass.

And we are #######4 by them because they want their drug money. Nothing else, nothing more. The psychiatry is all about drug money and lying. They have never proved anything. They have only been making up convincing lies using rhetoric.
