The timeframe suggested started at "a couple of months", but as I refuse more adamantly, this has reduced to "a couple of weeks". Should I be concerned? Is my psych just trying to get me there so they can keep me locked up?

If I say ok to a couple of weeks, is there some sort of garauntee when I go there that keeps them from retaining me longer? Like a contract or something? I don't think I should go at all. I don't want to be locked up and drugged angainst my will. Perhaps this isn't what they do at all, but if not, can anyone tell me What does happen when you're hospitalized?

It's not like I'm a danger to anyone but myself, so why should I go? It feels like a gross injustice to personal liberty to deny someone the right to do what they want with themselves (so long as it doesn't affect anyone else's liberty).

I am not aware of the laws in your area. However, it is something that you should become aware of and fast. Know your rights, and exercise them. If it is possible, you may want an advocate to help you. Beyond that, I do not know what is best for you. That is something you have to figure out on your own.
