Copycat version ? Oh no !

Nexium is actually a drug which should never have even been approved by the FDA. It really is only prescribed because of intense marketing because, logically, it has no business on the market and is no different than an existing drug, prilosec. Why would doctors irrationally prescribe this drug then? Because advertising encourages irrational choices.

Independent probe demanded after police kill mentally ill woman

Francis Garret, along with Rev. Jarrett Maupin and others paid a visit to Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton on Monday. Garret said she called mental health organizations to get her daughter help and get her into in-patient treatment.

“This was the result. I didn’t phone them and ask for my daughter to be killed. I did not ask for Michelle to be another statistic here, another homicide. I did not call them for that reason,” said Garret.

On Thursday, police showed up at Cusseaux’s apartment near 55th Avenue and Indian School Road to serve an order for an emergency mental health pick-up. According to Phoenix police, they knew Cusseaux had multiple mental health issues and that she had threatened to shoot clinical staff if they came to her apartment.

Police say Cusseaux refused to comply with their requests to step outside through a locked security screen door and shut the interior door.

They then picked the locked on the security door to attempt to contact her. [Mace, handcuff and take to pharma rape prison]That’s when police say Cusseaux flung the interior door open and stood their with a hammer in her hand. After repeated commands to drop the hammer police say she lunged toward the officers.

One shot was fired, and Cusseaux died. No officers were hurt.

(CNN) -- Seventy seconds: That's how long a North Carolina family says it took for things to go horribly wrong as they sought police help dealing with their mentally ill son.

Keith Vidal, 18, died Sunday. According to CNN affiliate WECT, he was just shot 1 minute and 10 seconds after a third law enforcement officer showed up at his Brunswick County home.

The three officers all were from different jurisdictions, and family members say that the third officer -- who came from a nearby city -- turned what had been an improving situation into an unnecessarily aggressive encounter that ended in their son's death.

"There was no reason to shoot this kid," the teen's stepfather, Mark Wilsey, told WECT on Monday. "They killed my son in cold blood. We called for help, and they killed my son."

But Phoenix police say they were the ones who eventually had to serve an emergency mental health pickup order for her daughter after the facility failed to do so following threats from Cusseaux.

Three officers tried to get Cusseaux to come out of her home and eventually had to bring in a sergeant.

Everyone is so focused on what happened when police showed up but what about before that ?

Michelle was in here own home when all these people invaded, broke her door in HER safe place.

Have we forgotten that America is supposed to be a nation where all law-abiding persons are guaranteed liberty? How can a person know what behavior is prohibited if the laws are not clearly written? People like myself who believe strongly in individual freedom argue that violation of the rights of others should be the only acts prohibited by law; others will defend victimless crime laws. So I guess the argument that cancer patients are not forced to take drugs when people say mental illness is just like cancer and diabetes is invalid now.
